The Woodworking Program helps to increase independence through training and vocational skills building and helps individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities become productive workers in our community. Individuals learn basic woodworking skills and are taught how to use heavy machinery and learn tool safety. The Woodworking Program produces a variety of items including birdhouses, quilt racks, chests, Adirondack chairs, benches, cutting boards and wine racks. These items are available to the public for purchase year-round. The program also has contracts with area companies to produce stakes, wedges, display racks and other items.
