The Woodworking Program helps to increase independence through training and vocational skills building and helps individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities become productive workers in our community. Individuals learn basic woodworking skills and are taught how to use heavy machinery and learn tool safety. The Woodworking Program produces a variety of items including birdhouses, quilt racks, chests, Adirondack chairs, benches, cutting boards and wine racks. Many items are sold at our annual Art and Craft Sale and at our annual Woodworking Sale. The program also has contracts with area companies to produce stakes, wedges, display racks and other items.
The annual Woodworking Sale is held each December at Eastview Mall during mall hours. Our annual Art and Craft Sale is traditionally held on the first Saturday of November at Holy Childhood and is a great opportunity to view our wide array of products and make purchases. We hope to see you there!
